1. What is it?

   • are a class of words used to express spatial or temporal relations

2. Time prepositions

   • At: used to show an exact or a particular time Ex: At 3pm, u need come here.
     • For: used to show an amount of time. Ex: I study English for 4 years.
       • Since: from a particular time in the past until a later time, or until now. Ex: My father works here since 1980.
         • Ago: back in the past; back in time from the present. Ex: The dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago.
           • Past: telling the time. Ex: Five past ten.
   • Till/ Until: up to (the time that). Ex: We waited till / until half past six for you.
     • By: not later than; at or before. Ex: She had promised to be back by five o'clock.
       • Before: at or during a time earlier than. Ex: She's always up before dawn.
         • To / Till: used when saying the time, to mean before the stated hour. Ex: It's twenty to six.

3. Place prepositions

   • In: A preposition of place which is used to discuss an enclosed space. Ex: Marie was born in Paris, France.
     • At: A preposition of place which is used to discuss a certain point. Ex: We spent a quiet evening at home.
       • On: A preposition of time which is used to discuss a surface. Ex: Please place the bouquet on the table.
