Macbeth Act III

1. Scene I

   • Macbeth is scared of Banquo
   • Macbeth and Banquo think that the prophecy the witches told is true
   • Macbeth starts planning a way to kill Banquo and his son Fleance
   • He talks to two murderers and tell them they need to kill Banquo and his son when he gives them a command

2. Scene II

   • Lady Macbeth is worried that they their joy and everything
   • Macbeth tries to comfort her
   • Macbeth tells her that everything will be solved that night

3. Scene III

   • Three murderers are in the scene
   • They kill Banquo
   • Fleance escapes hearing his father that he needs to revenge his death

4. Scene IV

   • Murderers tell Macbeth Banquo is dead and that Fleance escaped
   • Macbeth is very angry with the escaping news he feels his throne is not secured
   • Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo and surprises
   • He tell Lady Macbeth that Macduff has committed treason and has to be killed

5. Scene V

   • The 3 witches meet with Hecate
   • Hecate is angry with the witches because they did business with Macbeth without consulting with her first
   • Hecate orders the witches that when Macbeth arrives the next day they should make him think he is safe and cause confusion

6. Scene VI

   • Macduff with Malcom have gone to England to ask for help to safe Scotland from Macbeth
   • Macbeth prepares for a war
   • Banquo's death has been blamed on Fleance
   • Some people suspect Macbeth killed Banquo and Duncan
