1. PERMANENT JOINTS

   • Welding and Solding
     • Soft Soldering
       • It is a device that is used for joining small parts. Soft solder heats up to 400ºC or more.
     • Hard Soldering
       • It is a device used to bind metals, which are not equal (different), for example ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Hard welding is heated to 800C.
     • Oxyacetylene Welding
       • It is used to illuminate and heat, and can reach up to 3000ºC
   • Permanent Joints
     • Rivets
       • Used to permanently fix an object (two or more parts).
     • Press fit joint
       • A pin with a slightly larger diameter than the opening is inserted into the opening using a hammer or pressure.
     • Adhesives
       • It is used to paste one object with another (there are different types of ...)

2. TEMPORARY JOINTS

   • Nuts and Bolts
     • The screw is used to attach or hold an object. A screw can be used to hold it better.
   • Screws
     • Used to join one object to another, where there is a hole.
   • Threaded Stay Bolts
     • This bolt has grooves at both ends, but the middle section is smooth.
   • Keyed Joint
     • You can join two objects by putting the key in a groove.
   • Sliding Joints
     • They are two objects that join and can slide on each other
   • Splined Shafts
     • It is used to join two pieces that have grooves, for when they join fit
