1. Gold Plating

   • Refers to giving the customer extra funtionality, higherquality components, extra scope or better performance that customer not asked for.
     • It´s a problem because so few project provide what the customer wanted. Since most projects have difficulty meeting the project objectives

2. Prevention Over Inspection

   • The quality must be planned in, not inspected in
     • inspected is expensive and not agreed value. planned do

3. Marginal Analysis

   • Is looking for the point where the benefits or revenue to be received from improving quality equals the incremental cost to achive that quality

4. Just in time

   • suppliers deliver raw materials just when they are needed , thus decreasing inventory close to zero

5. Continuous Improvement Kaizen

   • Involves continuosly looking for small improvements in quality and includes improving how we handle project manager in a organization
