   • Seas are smaller than oceans
   • Seas form part of oceans.

2. LAKES

   • large bodies of water completely surronded by land
   • Most contain fresh water
   • Some of salt water

3. RIVERS

   • It's a flowing stream of salt water
   • stages of a river
     • Upper course
       • Source
       • water flows quickly
       • river is smaller
     • Middle course
       • river gets bigger and wider
       • river begins to slow down
     • Lower course
       • river becomes wider
       • water flows more slowly
       • Mouth

4. AQUIFERS

   • groundwater collects in layers of rock
   • spring
   • well
   • porous rock

5. GLACIERS

   • thick masses of ice that cover large areas of land
   • near the North and the South Poles
   • snow accumulates and becomes compact

6. WATER CYCLE

   • the movement of the water between the hydrosphere, atmosphere and geosphere
   • Evaporation
     • water is heated by the sun
   • Condensation
     • water vapour rises and condensates
   • Precipitation
     • water droplets from clouds fall
   • Collection
     • water collects in rivers, lakes, aquifers...
