1. Socialism

   • Less economic competition, fewer rich people, everyone gets everything they need, make everyone equal, the means of production are own by all of society, people sell their labour or get rid of profit, decentralise everything o democratic control, not one of these systems have been tried, reduce taxes, cut the government
     • Socialism is present in 1984 when there is no economic competition because there are no companies or businesses, only the government.
       • Only the inner party is rich, people sell their labour to the government

2. Communism

   • Extreme socialism, history of class struggle, the workers will use its political supremacy to wrest all capital, overthrow social conditions, end in internal repression, to each according to their needs, and end personal property
     • In 1984, workers took power and started the government, there is internal repression within society with the proles and the unconscious slavery put upon workers. No one really owns anything, the government does.

3. Fascism

   • Nationalism of a country, invested in military, organising everything like the military, a leader with absolute power, violence in politics, glorifying youth and masculinity, conforming to the national idea of living, obsessed with tradition
     • In 1984, the government invests in the military to continue an eternal war.
     • There is Big Brother with the absolute power
     • Nationalism is seen as acting how the government wants you to act. Kids spy on people to find who betrayed the government.

4. Nazism

   • National socialist german workers party, racial superiority, undoing defeat, pure germans in a single place, social darwinism, good races had to be better and not ruined, national government control, leader person, ensure germans a job, work for welfare, lower rents, all for germans
     • In 1984, the Inner Party and Outer Party think they are superior to proles and treat like trash
     • The government watches and controls everything and everyone
