Setting
- The story takes place in England at the end of the 19th century
- Transylvania
- Dracula's mountain castle is a remote and isolated location. The surrounding landscapes are bleak, with dense forests and dangerous roads. The castle itself is an ancient, dilapidated structure with dark rooms and a feeling of abandonment and oppression. The tone of the setting creates a feeling of terror, isolation and mystery, creating a mystery full of secrets.
- London
- When Dracula travels to London, the setting changes to a bustling metropolis, with a society divided between the nobility and the poorest. Dracula's attacks occur in upscale residential areas, such as Whitby, where Lucy lives. Its tone is related to the contrast between the supernatural and the modern city, creating an atmosphere of suspense.
- Hospitals and Nursing Homes
- The hospital where Van Helsing worked or Dr. Seward's Asylum represent the fight against the inexplicable, where they tried to understand the supernatural. The tone of the realistic and clinical environments helps to reinforce the tone of rationality.
