   • if you put a pyrex test tube inside a glass with water, you can still see the test tube, but it looks bended

3. 1.questions

   • -why can you see the test tube if both materials, water and glass, are transparent? -how can we make glass completely invisible?

4. 2.research

   • refraction=it's the change of light speed when it passes from one medium to another, which causes a change of direction
   • refraction index=it measures the speed of light in a substance as compared to the speed of light in the vacuum

5. 3.hypothesis

   • -i think that if we put a pyrex test tube filled with air/water/vinegar/vegetable oil inside a recipient with water/vinegar/ vegetable oil te test tube is/isn't going to become invisible

6. 4.experiment

   • a)materials pyrex test tubes pyrex recipients water vinegar vegetable oil
   • b)steps -first, fill 3 recipients: 1 with water, 1 with vinegar and 1 vegetable oil -then, put an empty pyrex test tube inside the water recipient and see what happens. fill tube with water and repeat the process -after that, put an empty pyrex test tube inside the vinegar recipient and see what happens. fill the tube with vinegar and repeat the process -finally, put an empty pyrex test tube inside the vegetable oil recipient and see what happens. fill the tube with vegetable oil and repeat the process. -try with recipients of different sizes. also, try it out in a mixture of water and vinegar and water and oil

   • if the pyrex test tube is filled with vegetable oil it turns invisible in vegetable oil

8. 6.explanation

   • glass only becomes invisible when we put a pyrex test tube filled with vegetable oil inside a recipient with vegetable oil. this is because they have a similar refractive index. when two materials have a similar refractive index light doesn´t change speed or direction. it travels straight through them.
