1. Functions

   • Projector
     • -Can project from computer -Can project from document camera -Can project using SMART software
   • Dual Touch Capabilities
     • Allows a teacher and a student or two students to work together and write on the board at the same time
   • Multi-Touch Experience
     • Mode where four users to be using the board at the same time
   • Freestyle Interaction
     • Teachers and students are able to drag and swipe objects using their fingers

2. Controls

   • Pen/Eraser Tray
     • -Four different colored pens -Detection of what pen(s) is being used -Write/draw on this board on whatever content the teacher is projecting -Drawing with finger can be substitute for a pen
   • Audio, Input, Power
     • -Easy access to turn the SMART board on and off -Controls where the visuals are coming from -Allows for an easy transition between areas of lesson -Has speakers so videos, music, or any other audio can be played -Volume can be adjusted to the size classroom environment

3. SMART Software

   • Toolbar
     • Toolbar: Different views on screen with magnifying glass icon, mathematics tools on compass and ruler icon, create table on chart icon, hide screen on white screen icon Other toolbar features are similar to Microsoft office
   • Tabs
     • Page Tab: new pages, move between pages, like slides in powerpoint Gallery - Pictures sounds and animations to enhance lessons Attachments - word documents that have been attached to the notebook file - like attaching file to email and Properties: thickness, writing, color, fill  of slides Add-ons Slides: -To create a slide select the paper with the green plus -To delete a slide select the paper with a red X -Drag slides up and down to switch order Images: -Use drop down bar or search bar to find images, audio, backgrounds -Drag image onto slide Attachment: Click insert to attach a file saved from your device to link to your slides Effects: - Use the fill effects to design the background of your slide Add-ons: -Image Web Search: insert images online using search bar and drag on to slide -YouTube: search for youtube videos using search bar and drag on to slide -Activity Builder: Create object, click edit, objects tab, select objects to reject and accept, settings tab, select animation, select done -Smart Blocks: drag block, draw number with pen, connect number to block and repeat Lesson Recorder: Select record when you start your lesson and stop when you are finished Geogbra: Drag tool on page
   • Save and Share
     • Save: File, Save As, Saves like a normal document or powerpoint Share: File, Share, Sign into account for shareable link
   • SMART Lab
     • -Select blue character icon and select an activity Fill in your information to create an activity
