I've been struggling to incorporate exit tickets into my classroom since I made the switch from teaching ELA to now teaching mathematics in the special education world. Did some research and here is what I came up with!

  1. Reflection - Students have the opportunity to reflect on their learning.
    1. Document Learning - "List one thing you learned today.
      1. Emphasize Process - Demonstrate example of process or "I didn't understand when..."
        1. Evaluate Instruction - What might have helped you understand more? Were the small groups helpful today?
          1. Envelopes on Door: GOT IT! ALMOST. SORT OF. NOPE!
            1. Teachers have an opportunity to evaluate effectiveness of lesson.
              1. Math Examples: -Solve the problem(s). -Explain the process. -Ask a question.
