  1. CONTENT

    Annotations:

    • The content of my LMS will include:-Word documents for students to download, complete, and then upload.-PDF files of readings when possible-Links to videos that we use with the curriculum-Links to online sources for remediation and enrichment -Exemplars of student work
    1. ENGAGEMENT

      Annotations:

      • My students will be engaged with Schoology since it very much looks like a social media page.  I will use online discussions where they can voice their opinions on our readings and get feedback on their writing.  I will also make silly "class specific" badges for motivation  I will also use the Media Albums to allow for students to submit work for the rest of their classmates to see becoming both a collaboration tool as well as a place to publish. Finally, students will be  engaged with online assessments as they will get real time results and the ability to see what they got wrong immediately. 
      1. COMMUNICATION

        Annotations:

        • Schoology has its own email system, so I will use that as our primary source of communication. It also allows for Updates to be delivered to an entire class for mass announcements.
        1. USER FRIENDLY

          Annotations:

          • Schoology is very user friendly for students.  It is one stop shopping!  Assignments are automatically loaded onto a personalized master calendar.  In that assignment listing on the calendar, students can click on it for more information (explanation, files, rubrics, etc.).  There is also a sidebar for reminders of things when they are coming due or when a grade has been entered by a teacher. 
          1. ORGANIZATION

            Annotations:

            • My course will be organized in the Materials section by marking periods(4) for the students. Within each marking period, there will be a folder for each unit.
