Quadratic Inequalities

1. An inequalitiy in which the variable is raised to the second power.

2. Inequalities with two variables

   • All the variables and constants are passed to the same side and compared to 0.
     • The parabola is graphed
       • One coordinate from inside is taken and replaced in the formula
         • If the equation is true, then the inside is shaded
           • If it is false, the outside is shaded
   • Strategy

3. Type of Line

   • If the equation contains a greater or less than, the parabola is graphed with a dotted line
   • If the equation contains a greater or less than and equal to, the parabola is graphed with a filled line

4. Inequalities with one variable

   • Compare everything with 0 and graph
     • Try one number inside of each interval and see which one satisfies the inequality
       • Graph the solution
