1. Soft

   Annotations:

   • Collagen+Elastic Collagen: white, pliable but not Elastic, great tensile strength. Elastin: yellow, deformable but returns to its shape.

         Annotations:

         • Fatty tissue
      2. Areolar

         Annotations:

         • Found beneath the skin.
   2. Dense
      1. Regular

         Annotations:

         • Organized, parallel, resists strech in a long way.
         1. Tendons

            Annotations:

            • Strong, resists damage, has intertwined collagenous fibers.  Attach muscles to muscles, bone and cartilage. 
         2. Aponeurosis

            Annotations:

            • looks like sheet. broad sheet of tissue. attach muscles to bones. 
         3. Ligaments

            Annotations:

            • visceral ligaments: organs to organs. skeletal ligaments: bones to bones.  attaches bones to bones, cartilage to cartilage or bone to cartilage. 
      2. Irregular

         Annotations:

         • Unorganized. much collagen, some elastin, resists stretch. located in the dermis/ periosteum/ fascia/perimysium.
      3. Lymphatic

         Annotations:

         • Elastic.  tonsils, adenoids. 
2. Rigid
   1. Cartilage
      1. Hyaline

         Annotations:

         • Most rigid. glassy in color.  location: articular ends of bones, costal cartilage, nose, larynx, trachea & bronchi.
      2. Fbrous

         Annotations:

         • Rather inelastic(collagenous) location: intervertibral discs of spinal column.
      3. Elastic

         Annotations:

         • Least rigid. yellow in color. location: external ear and auditory meatus, nose, epiglottis & small cartilage of larynx.
   2. Bone

      Annotations:

      • the hardest. Inorganic. filled by marrow. covered by periosteum.  206 in number.
      1. Dense/Compact

         Annotations:

         • outer part
      2. Spongy/cancellous

         Annotations:

         • inner part

Annotations:

• Covered by epimysium. filled with endomysium. covered by sacolemma. .01-.1 in diameter. 

1. Straited

   Annotations:

   • Stripped skeleton/voluntary need nutrition and nevres stimulation. 
2. Smooth

   Annotations:

   • involuntary sheet-like founf in the internal organs contraction is slow and sustained. 
3. Cardiac

   Annotations:

   • found only in the heart
