3. Opressed

   • Slaves
     • People are forced to work for the capitol while earning very little for themselves
   • Scarce resources
     • People forced to increase their childs chance to particpate in the Hunger Games for a year of food.

4. Defiance

   • The protagonist defys the capitol throughout the story.
     • Protagonist forces the head gamemaker to elect two winners in the hunger games arena instead of one
     • illegally goes to the forest to hunt for food.
     • illegally sellls food in the blackmarket.
   • Protagonist encourage people to defy the capitol
     • After the protagonist survives the games many slaves rebel the government
