Separating mixtures
  1. Seperating mixtures is when you have a liquid that contains several different mixtures and you have a filter which then when using will start to seperate the solid involved and then will then send the liquid down
    1. Crystallisation is when you have a salt solution in a jar and a certain chemical is used which when used and heated and left alone for a while it will form crystallisation
      1. Distilation it seperates two liquids from eachother it onlyy works if both substances have different boiling points (the temperture at which they turn from a liquid to a gas)
        1. fractional distillation it is when a rock and a mixture of multiple liquids can be seperated from eachother it can be used to seperate gases from eachother this also only works if both substances have different boiling points
          1. chromatography this is when you put a pencil line on a thin striver of paper and put a small dot of ink on the pencil line this works by puuting so its just touching the paper as it goes on the ink will rise because of the paper and as it goes up it will change colurs and eventually it will stop
            1. filtration is when you have a funnel and the fluid passes through to create a clear liquid this can also be used to seperate the liquid from a solid the liquid that is left is called a filtrate
              1. A heavy mixture is when a solid cintains a lot of chemicals
                1. hydrocarbons is when a long chain of molecules are found in crude oil
                  1. seperation is a process that can be used to sepearate things to either nake it unharmless or safer
                    1. solute is something that can be changeed into a liquid
