1. Lady Macbeth seems to have little to no respect for Macbeth. She emasculates him and calls him a coward.

2. The theme of greed for power and the throne separates the two characters because it blinds them to everything else going on around them and makes them selfish, desiring only the power. Which in turn deteriorates their relationship.

3. As the plot goes on, their relationship falls apart, leading both to become mentally ill due to the events that they experience.

4. From the very beginning we can see the difference in the superiority and the dominance that lady macbeth has over macbeth. She forces MAcbeth to follow her instructions and uses blackmail and other crude techniques to get him to obey her.

5. There is a severe lack of trust between M and LM because of a handful of reasons, M keeps secrets from LM when he visits the Witches for the second time

6. Their bond between each other appears strong, however as the plot develops we see that they are not as close as we first thought. When LM dies, M does not show much emotion at all.

7. LM completely subverts Jacobean ideals of a family and establishes her dominance over M.

8. LM thinks M is not capable of able to carry out her tasks and she therefore emasculates him, telling him he is a coward and makes him stand aside
