         • LMB wishes she was a man so that she could carry out the murder herself.

         • He longs to hide what he has done. He fears the guilt he will feel.

     • Repeated motif of blood shows how guilt weighs on someone's mind.
   • Content- Macbeth has just murdered Duncan but LMB has to go and fix his mistakes.
   • Context
     • Macbeth has just committed regicide which would be uncommon for the contextual audience.

2. Whole

   • Content
     • LMB commits suicide due to all the guilt. She even feels guilty for the crimes she didn't commit.
     • Macbeth feels paranoia since he thinks people will discover his secret.
   • Blood symbolism
     • "Will these hands ne'er become clean"
       • Shows how murder destroyed her.
   • "Sainted king"
     • By killing the rightful King Macbeth is tormented throughout the rest of his life.
