1. Collectivism

   • Members will be born in extended families or other we-groups
   • The identity is grounded in the social network, which one belongs to
   • Children learn to think in terms of "We"
   • Harmony should always be maintained and Conflicts be avoided
   • The aim of education is: How do you make something?
   • Diplomas and titles provide access to groups with higher status
   • Relationship takes precedence over tasks and rules
   • Bulgaria, China, Korea, Singapore, Portugal, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, Colombia and Pakistan are collectivist characterized countries

2. Individualism

   • The freedom of the individual is the focus
   • The identity is grounded in the individual
   • Children learn to think in terms of "I"
   • The aim of education is: How do you learn what?
   • Our own opinion is expressed
   • Diplomas and titles increase the economic value and self-esteem
   • Tasks and rules take priority before relationship and social contacts
   • USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, Great Britain and Denmark are individualistic characterized countries
