How to give a killer presentation

  1. Frame Your Story

    • Conceptualizing and framing what we mean is the most vital part of the presentation we should not talk too much without giving key points otherwise we will bore the viewer
  2. Develop Stage Presence

    • The biggest mistake we see in early rehearsals is that people move their bodies too much. They sway from side to side, or shift their weight from one leg to the other. People do this naturally when they’re nervous, but it’s distracting and makes the speaker seem weak.
      • But the vast majority are better off standing still and relying on hand gestures for emphasis.
  3. Plan Your Delivery

    • When we have our writing on what we have prepared to say, we should try to practice it and memorize it in a natural way since if people observe that you are reading there will be no connection
  4. Plan the Multimedia

    • it may feel almost mandatory to use, at a minimum, presentation slides, but information is interesting only once, and hearing and seeing the same words feels repetitive
  5. Putting It Together

    • We want people’s talks to be in final form at least a month before the event. The more practice they can do in the final weeks, the better off they’ll be. Ideally, they’ll practice the talk on their own and in front of an audience.
  6. Ways to Ruin a Presentation

    • 1. Take a really long time to explain what your talk is about. 2. Speak slowly and dramatically. Why talk when you can orate? 3. Make sure you subtly let everyone know how important you are. 4. Refer to your book repeatedly. Even better, quote yourself from it. 5. Cram your slides with numerous text bullet points and multiple fonts.
  7. Importance of a good presentation

    • Communication is how people exchange information. presentation skill is introducing variety in content to keep the audience interested. This can be done by introducing audio-visual content and images. Instead of talking all the time, the presenter can engage the audience with other forms of communication
