                                    • Plants produce their own food. Plants need us and animals for carbon dioxide. Plants provide
                                    1. 1) Climate
                                      1. Group by weather conditions. Some plants need a lot of rain and sunlight (Rain Tree), Cold condition (Conifers), Little rain (Cactus)
                                      2. 2) Flowering Plants & Non Flowering Plants
                                        1. Flowering Plants - produce flower when the are fully grown. Flowers develop fruits.
                                          1. Non Flowering Plants, cannot produce flower. Cannot produce fruits or seeds
                                            1. Eg, Ferns - they produce spores
                                          2. 3) Land, Water and Air Plants
                                            1. Land plant - Plants grow on land
                                              1. Water Plant - Float on water (lettuce and duckweed), fully submerged - cabomba and seaweed
                                                1. Air Plant - have roots in the air. (eg Orchid or Ferns - epiphytes)
                                                2. 4) Useful Plants
                                                  1. Food crops - Corn, Barley, Wheat, Rice
                                                    1. Flavorings - herbs or spices
                                                      1. Alcoholic Drinks - Wheat and Barley used for beers
                                                      2. 5) Poisonous Plants
                                                        1. 6) Carnivorous Plants
                                                          1. Pitcher Plant, Venus Flytrap - absorb the nutrients from the prey it traps
                                                          2. 7) Grasses
                                                            1. Rice Plant - produce food for man. (Bamboo)
