network security Threats
worm
- Worms spread like viruses (quick and fast) yet they do not require human intervention. These worms will attach themselves to network tools so that they can spread automatically around a network surface much more quickly.
Virus
- These viruses will insert themselves in normal programs, where they will be able to replicate and transfer from one computer to another.
Spyware
- this will record the activity on your computer, therefore whatever information that you use, they will know and they also can use that information to control your own computer.
phishing
- Phishing is normally when people will receive a text or email messaging scam where people will think that they have been contacted by a authentic organisation, but it is just some people that want personal information(like banking details.
Trojan horse
- Trojan horse gains access to a computer by pretending to be a different type of software. Yet Trojan horse can also also allow unauthorised people access to a computer without the user being aware.
Brute Force Attack
- This is when they will be able to gain unauthorised access to a network by using a computer program to try all possible password combinations until the correct password is found.
