Mindmap
  1. Nodes
    1. A node is the main bubble, usually in the center of an offset displaying a main point.
      1. The thing this is attached to is a node
      2. Sub-node
        1. A sub node are often notes or ideas coming off of a main node. They usually have more description as it is the product of brain storming
        2. Target audience
          1. The client, if they want to agree on plans before the product goes into production.
            1. The graphic designers, so they can start the next stage of the production (e.g. visualisation diagram, storyboard and/or script)
              1. Website developers would need to see it too so they can start to get an idea of the sort of layout needed
              2. Purpose
                1. Used to quickly and effectively generate ideas, in a way which is visually pleasing and easy to follow.
                2. Branches
                  1. Branches are the little lines which attach nodes and sub-nodes, helping points and ideas flow cohesively
                  2. Example
                    1. Central idea
                      1. The main point in the middle of a mind map, where the generation of ideas starts
                      2. Digitising
                        1. File formats
                          1. .jpg/.jpeg
                            1. A universal format which everyone has access to, is small in size and easy to send. The lossy compression isn't a problem when sending pictures of mindmaps making it reliable
                            2. .pdf
                              1. Everyone has access to it, you can open it on every computer and it's easy to send around, making it reliable
                            3. Digitising is the act of putting something physical, like a paper mindmap, onto the computer so it can easily be saved and sent around
                              1. Taking a photo would be the fastest and easiest way to get a mindmap onto the computer as it's easy to do. However the quality of the photo may vary
                                1. Using a scanner may lead to a better quality photo but not everyone has a scanner to use
                                  1. A drawing tablet may make an easy to read picture but it's time consuming and expensive to use.
