2. prep

   • check 7 rights of medication administration (5H's)
     • right person
     • right drug
     • right dose
     • right time
     • right route
     • right to refuse - ask for consent
     • right documentation of prescription and allergies

3. injection

   • warns
   • pinch skin
   • dress site and apply pressire
   • when injecting say I am going to proceed as there is no blood

4. after procedure

   • discuss post injection care
     • normal to be sore for a few days - seek medical advise if have worsening pain after 48 hours
