  1. Simple Present For Future

    • Why do we use present simple for future? We use the Present Simple for the Future in order to indicate that a future event is scheduled. Something is “scheduled” when it is on a timetable, written in someone's diary
      • Things that will happen at a particular moment in the future because that's when they always happen: “I start work at 8 tomorrow”
  2. English speakers often use the present continuous tense (subject + 'be' = verb-ing) to talk about future arrangements. A future arrangement is a plan that you have decided and organised with another person.

    • I'm spending Christmas and New Year with my Mum and Dad. We're meeting Susan at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
  3. future whith be going to

    • The expression be going to, followed by a verb in the infinitive, allows us to express an idea in the near future: I'm going to talk to him. Very soon I will talk to him. Several employees are going to be promoted next month.
  4. present continues for future

  5. future with will

    • The first future tense is the future with "will." Use the future with will to talk about an event in the future that you have just decided to do, for predictions and for promises.
      • I think I'll go to that party next week. The economy will get better soon
  6. future continuous

    • The future continuous tense, sometimes also referred to as the future progressive tense, is a verb tense that indicates that something will occur in the future and continue for an expected length of time.
