   • Antlers continue to grow
   • Velvet will start being shed to harden antlers

3. Fall

   • Antlers are fully shed of velvet
   • Antlers are hard and ready for battle during breeding season

4. Winter

   • Antlers begin to weaken
   • Antlers may begin to break off early
