    1. A standard binary coding system for characters and numbers.
    2. Unicode
      1. A standard binary coding system that has superseded ASCII.
      2. ParityBit
        1. A method of checking binary codes by counting the number of 0s and 1s in the code.
        2. Majority voting
          1. A method of checking for errors by producing the same data several times and checking it is the same each time.
          2. Check Digit
            1. A digit added to the end of a binary data to check that the data is accurate.
