6.1.1 ASCII character require only seven bits, needs less storage space but can only store 128 characters

6.2.1 Unicode require 16 bits, needs more storage space but can store 65,536 different characters

8.1 Sampling rate
8.1.1 its how often the computer takes a measure of the sound

8.2 Bit rate
8.2.1 its how many bits are used for each samples
