1. Bus Topology

   • Advantages
     • Easy to install
     • Cheap to install, as it doesn't require much cable
     • Linear Bus network is mostly used in small networks. Good For LAN
   • Disadvantages
     • If the main cable fails or get damages the whole network fails
     • As more workstations are connected the performance of the network will become slower because of data collisions
     • It is difficult to detect and troubleshoot fault at individual station

2. Star Topology

   • Advantages
     • Very reliable - if one cable or device fails then all the other will continue to work
     • High performing as no data collisions can occur
     • Fail
   • Disadvanges
     • The use of hub, a router or a switch as central device increase the overall the cost of the network

3. Ring Topology

   • Disadvantages
   • Advantages
