1. Attach body cells which have been affected with viruses, bacteria and fungi
  1. Kill the cell by recognition of the VIRAL PROTEIN COAT
    1. Secrete PERFORIN PROTEIN which can perforate the cell membrane (LYSIS)

1. REGULATE the action of lymphocytes -

1. Activated in the thymus

    1. Further development goes on in lymphatic tissues
      1. T-CELLS emerge with different functions emerge

1. Assist antibodies to neutralise antigen
  1. When antibodies and complement attack antigen - IMMUNE COMPLEX
