Chapter 3
  1. The internet is a global network of computers. All computers on the internet can be communicated with each other (i.e. send or receive data).
    1. To use the internet you must subscribe to an internet service provider (ISP). The ISP has servers that are permaently connected to the internet.
    2. Dial-Up to link a computer to the telephone system you need a modem this make sure that it is comptibal with the telephone line.
      1. Broadband is the term used to describe fast internet connection such as ISDN and ADSL. Digital network (ISDN)is a faster method of conecting to the internet.
