      1. People are too dependent on the internet for work, so many people would be in trouble if the internet was down or not working.
        1. Most kids these days don't even know how to use a dictionary because " The internet has it all" so they don't see it as a necessary skill.
          1. Almost all Public Schools in Ontario use the internet for schoolwork, so they expect everybody to have technology with internet, but if people don't have internet, then they will not be able to do the work properly.
          2. Cell Phones
            1. People are too dependent on smart phones remembering phone numbers that some people wouldn't even remember phone numbers if they had to use a payphone.
              1. According to a survey, more than half the population suffers from nomophobia, the fear of being without a moblie phone phone
                1. Research suggests that the majority of mobile users check their mobile phones on average up to 150 times a day.
                2. Entertainment
                  1. Studies show that the average person above the age of 15 watches about 2.6 hours of television per day.
                    1. Video Games are the second most commonly used technology for entertainment by people under the age of 15.
                      1. If we didn't have technology to use for entertainment, we would be completely bored in our free time because we are so used to using electronics for entertainment.

                        1. Technology such as electronic devices are possibly the greatest resource ever created.
                          1. They can help with virtually anything, from assistance with homework to tricks in a video game.
                            1. Also, many people don't need to rely on technology for everything, because lots of people still enjoy non-electronic things like music and reading
                            2. Special communities
                              1. An Amish community is a community of religious people who believe that technology is not the way of god. Many people not in Amish communities also follow this path, too.
                                1. The Amish population is made up of big numbers, 281, 675 in North America alone.
                                  1. Amish people try not to use technology at all. They use candles for lighting and have no electronics like phones, computers, or televisions.
                                  2. It makes the world better
                                    1. The future of the planet earth is technology. Technology has given us some amazing things so far, maybe it can give more.
                                      1. Technology has given us many things, one of those things being cars. Without cars and other motor vehicles, it would take much longer to travel from one place to another.
                                        1. Technology has also much better improved our healthcare. It helps scientists find cures for diseases, and also allows for mass production, so more people can get the vaccines faster.
