  1. Adjective = Describes a noun
    1. Alliteration - two consecutive words starting with the same letter
      1. Assonance - the repetition of the sound of a vowel in nonrhyming stressed syllable
        1. Caesura - A break between words within a metrical foot, within a Poem
          1. Concrete Noun - a sense or a more physical entity that can be observed by a sense
            1. Connotations - when something means one thing but could symbolize something else
              1. Content - The things that are held or included in something for e.g. Content's page
                1. Context - Something surrounding a specific point of word, e.g. context of a book
                  1. Couplet - Rhyming couplet is when two consecutive lines end with a rhyming word
                    1. Enjabment - the continuation of a syntactic unit from one line of verse into the next line without a pause
                      1. Euphemism - A mild or indirect word or expression when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.
                        1. Hyperbole - A drastic exaggeration to an unrealistic event or happening that causes emphasis
                          1. Imagery - Usually the use of senses, more specifically the sense of sight and similes/metaphors to describe
                            1. Metaphor - a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.
                              1. Noun - Is used to identify a Person, Place or Thing, also known as a common noun
                                1. Onomatopoeia - A word which sounds like the action it makes e.g. WOOSH! or BANG!
                                  1. Oxymoron - Putting two opposite words in the same phrase e.g. Pretty Ugly
                                    1. Pathetic Fallacy - when the whether reflects whats going on in the texts
                                      1. Personification - describing something that is still and inhumane to have human features
                                        1. Proper Noun - A name used for an individual person, place, or organization
                                          1. Purpose - The reason for which something is done
                                            1. Repetition - When a word is stated more than once to emphasise
                                              1. Rhythm - A beat or melody to which something is said
                                                1. Sibilants - the repetition of the 'S' sound in a phrase or sentence
                                                  1. Simile - To say something is 'LIKE' something else
                                                    1. Stanza - Also known as a Verse in the world of poetry
                                                      1. Themes- A recurring message or approach which shows the audience a message or viewpoint
                                                        1. Tone - How something is said or the atmosphere of a text
                                                          1. Abstract Noun - A noun that isn't a physical thing but a feeling or emotion
                                                            1. Allusion - To state something without specifically saying what you mean/what it is
                                                              1. Alternate Rhyme - Found in Poetry with Rhyming words on Alternative lines e.g. ABAB
                                                                1. Archaism - The use of Old language in texts linking the context
                                                                  1. Attitudes - Like a theme or a tone of a text, also could be linked with context/ socially
                                                                    1. Conceit - An extended metaphor lasting more than just a phrase or sentence
                                                                      1. Declarative mood - Where phrases/sentences are said in declaratives
                                                                        1. Definite article - A determiner that introduces a Noun
                                                                          1. Exclamatory Mood - A group of phrases/sentences said with exclamation mark to emphasise
                                                                            1. Eye Rhyme - where it looks like it would rhyme but the words sound different e.g. fear and bear
                                                                              1. Iambic - Iamb meaning 2 syllables unstressed stressed
                                                                                1. Internal Rhyme - where there is rhyme within the line of a poerm
                                                                                  1. Interrogative Mood - Where a paragraph or verse is stated with lots of questions
                                                                                    1. Juxtaposition - contrasting phrases that are close together
                                                                                      1. Lexis - Words and their Classes
                                                                                        1. Mode of address - how the audience is addressed
                                                                                          1. Octet - Poetry stanza with eight Lines
                                                                                            1. Pentameter = line of poetry with five metrical feet counting to ten syllables
