   • the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of events

2. instances where it is shown in Macbeth

   • Macbeth becomes king
     • he becomes the highest figure in the kingdoms hierarchy
     • he doesnt become king righfully but becomes king with his power
     • It shows power as a jewel of sin as you want it but it leads you to damnation
   • Macbeth after war and bloody execution
     • he had the capability to murder and be recognised by his power out on the field
     • He has power mentally as he can cope with taking others lives
   • the three witches show how they have supernatural power.
     • The witches show diminion over people like Macbeth as they're intimidating figures
     • they are like puppet masters as they can pretty much change anything if they want to
     • TThey are portrayed as extremely intimidating and that gives them power as they're the most intimidating and creepy figure

   • power in the wrong hands is truly terrible
   • everyone wants power in some form good or bad
