1. Magnetic Separation
1. Removing the Nickel
  1. Materials: Beaker & Magnet
  2. Place the mixture in the beaker and hold the magnet above in order to remove the nickel.
2.Mechanical Separation
1. Separating Solids and Liquids
  1. Materials: Empty Beaker, Beaker with Mixture, Strainer 1
  2. Place the strainer above the strainer, pour the mixture into the beaker to separate the solid and liquid, liquids will be left in the beaker while the solids will be in the strainer.
3.Evaporation
1. Separating two liquids
  1. Materials: Bunsen Burner or Alcohol Lamp, Beaker with all the liquids
    1. Using the source of heat, heat the beaker containing the liquids. Let them seperate
4. Sieving
1. Separate 2 solids
  1. Materials: Sieve, Container with the 2 liquids, empty container
    1. Place the sieve on top of the empty container, pour the pebbles, styrofoam beads and AgCl through the sieve. The styrofoam will separate from the rest with its difference in size
