     • for accuracy rather than speed

     • not clamped
     • least expensive
     • simplest jigs
     • does have brushing (hardened)
   • PLATE JIGS
     • similar to template
     • have built-in clamp
       • with @ without blushings depand on the num.part
     • made with legs
       • to raise the jig
         • also called plate jigs
   • SANDWICH JIGS
     • form plate jig with back plate
     • ideal for thin @ soft parts
     • bushings depends on number of parts
   • ANGLE-PLATE JIGS
     • to hold parts at right angle
     • machining angle other than 90°
   • BOX JIGS / TUMBLE JIGS
     • surround the parts
     • part machined completely
   • CHANNEL JIGS
     • simplest form box jigs
     • work held between 2 sides and machines from 3 side
   • LEAF JIGS
     • small box jigs with hinged leaf
     • easier loading & unloading
     • not completely surround parts
   • INDEXING JIGS
     • accurately space holes
     • machined area around part
     • larger called rotary jigs
