Using information from sources
1. Direct Quotation
  1. Uses the exact words from the original source.
    1. Uses Quotation Marks!
2. Paraphrase
  1. Restastes the same idea from the original using different words.
3. Key words: In order to introduce a direct quotation or a paraphrase is to use the preposition: according to + the name of the journal or the name of the authr.

2. Modern Language Association (MLA)
  1. Used in humanities
PLAGIARISM
1. Stealing someone else's ideas or words and using them in a piece of writing as if they were the writer's original ideas.
2. In order to prevent it, citing information is a must.
Paraphrasing
1. To use different language to say the same thing.

  3. 3. Think of a different way to say that information
  4. 4. use diffrent and original vocabulary
  5. 5. use different sentence structure
Summarize
1. Expresses the same idea in fewer words

1. Combine information from two or more sources.

  2. 2.- Choose the main ideas
  3. 3.-Group together the ideas that support the main ideas
  4. 4.-Combine ideas into sentences using you paraphrasing skills
  5. 5.- Organize the sentence logically
