      1. Different elements (atoms) react and combine to form a compound
        1. It's usually difficult to seperate them
        2. Atoms are held together by a chemical bond
        3. Molecule
          1. Larger particle formed by them chemical combination of two or more atoms
          2. Atmosphere
            1. 78% Nitrogen
              1. 21% Oxygen

                  2. Early Earth
                    1. 1. It was created by a volcanic atmosphere
                      1. 2. When earth cooled the water condensed to form oceans and lakes
                        1. 3. Photosynthetic organisms evolved in oceans and added oxygen to the atmosphere and removed carbon dioxide
                          1. 4. Some carbon dioxide was removed by dissolving in the oceans forming sedimentary rocks
                    2. Pollutants
                      1. Carbon Dioxide: Environment - Traps heat in the Earth's atmosphere
                        1. Nitrogen Oxides: Environment - Causes acid rain.Humans - Causes breathing problems
                          1. Sulfur Dioxide: Environment: Causes acid rain
                            1. Particulates: Environment - Make buildings dirty. Humans - Asthma can get worse and it can cause lung infections
