    1. Impermeable rock so several reservoirs have been constructed in steep valleys, such as the Burrator Reservoir which supplies Plymouth
    2. Farming
      1. Mainly extenisive sheep farming on poor pastures and in harsh enviornmental condition
        1. this is because granite forms upland
      2. Scenery
        1. Forms wild and attractive moorland scenery. Attractive for outdoor activities
          1. This includes; bird watching, walking, hiking, mountain biking, climbing and water sports on the reservoirs
        2. Resource for Extraction
          1. Building stone used throughout Cornwall and Aberdeen
            1. Commonly used for kitchen surfaces
              1. Kaolin used in industry as whitener-originated as granite
