1. Distance= Speed x Time

2. Average Speed= Total Distance/Total Time
   1. Average speed is measured over an entire journey

3. Distance

   1. displacement is the total straight line distance from your starting point to your current position

         1. Displacement can go in a negative direction
            1. Displacement tells us the direction as well as the distance
