                            1. Bronchial hyperresponsiveness
                            2. Clinical presentation
                              1. Wheezing
                                1. Cough may be the only symptom of asthma
                                  1. Chest tightness or a history of tightness or pain in the chest
                                    1. history of recurrent bronchitis, bronchiolitis, or pneumonia
                                      1. a persistent cough with colds
