Key Decisions
1. After
  1. We decided to use a voice over in one of our ending scenes.
    1. This was due to the need to explain the scene, which the voice over did. If we hadn't included the voice-over, the scene may not have made sense to some audience members.
  2. We chose to use the program Final cut Express to edit our film.
    1. This was because this program is easy to use and included many features that we needed to make our film look better after it was filmed.

  1. We chose to use a higher tripod
    1. This was due to some shots being benefited by using a tripod that could hold the camera at higher angles.
  2. Steadier Tripod
    1. This was because some scenes we filmed at the beginning of production process were shaky, affecting the quality of the film. Using a sturdier tripod prevented this un-steadiness, thus improving our shots.

    1. We chose to use a larger camera as it had more suitable features and functions that were useful in our project

1. Pre-production
  1. Celtex
    1. We used this program to create a script for our film.
      1. This program was excellent in allowing us to create a quality, useful script that we used throughout the pre-production and production process
  2. Blogger
    1. We have used Blogger to document our progress and each stages process
      1. This program has allowed us to work as a group to create and develop a good film by allowing us to save and show any ideas or research we had done with one another.
  3. Microsoft Word
    1. We used this to create a shot list
      1. We used our shot list as a guide to what scenes we need to do and how to do them. This program was helpful in creating an understandable shot list that was useful throughout our film production.
2. Production
  1. Final Cut Express
    1. We used this to cut and edit our film. Using this program, we were successful in editing our project to make the film better quality.

    1. We used a Sony hd 1000 camera to film our project
3. Post Production
  1. Google Documents
    1. We used this program to develop and create a questionnaire that we used to receive and analyse the audiences response and feedback of our project.
  2. Facebook
    1. We used face book to present our film and questionnaire to the target audience. This social network was extremely successful in attracting and addressing our target audience to both watch our film and complete our questionnaire.
  3. YouTube
    1. This social networking site was successful in exhibiting our project to a wider audience.
What was Successful
1. Each piece of technology or technological equipment that we used during each stage of our project was successful to a certain extent.
2. The best example of a successful piece of technology that we used would be in my opinion, Final Cut Express.
  1. The way in which this program was most successful was the altering of certain features of our film that we have other wise not been able to change. Such as the lighting of the facilities we used. The hall we used for our main location couldn't go to the darkness that was suitable to our film. This program allowed us to change this and make the lighting affective and correct for the scene and genre of film.
What was un-successful
1. Tripod
  1. The tripod that we used during the filming of our project wasn't stable enough for excellent quality scenes. Though we change the tripod in hope of receiving a more stable one, we were unsuccessful of having a tripod that did not wobble and was easy to operate.
2. Camera
  1. The camera that we used was too big for certain movements to be successful and for certain spaces to be used easily. A prime example being in the lift. For this we had to think of different angles that would apply to the film and its genre and still fit in the space of the lift.
What I have Learnt
1. New
  1. The main technologies that have been new and only just introduced to me during this project have been the Celtex software and Final Cut Express
    1. I can now fully use and understand these formats, which I could not at the beginning of the project.
2. Improved and expanded understandings
  1. I understood how to use the Social Networking sites used in this project, such as Facebook and YouTube, before the project began. However, I have now learnt new functions of each of these sites and I have expanded my knowledge on how to use them more effectively.
3. leant to use
  1. Though Ii had an basic understanding and acknowledgement of Blogger and Google Docs, during this project my knowledge of them has been improved so that I now feel confident and comfortable using them and applying them in my work.
