3. Snowdon + the Glyderau
  1. Mountain Ranges in Catchment area
4. Source = Pen y Pass
  1. 359 ASL
HYPOTHESIS
1. Discharge will increase downstream
  1. Volume of water increases
    1. Tributaries
    2. Sources join river
    3. Drainage Basin increases
2. Water will be going faster downstream, because of greater volume of water and less friction
WHY THIS LOCATION?
1. Easy access from Road
  1. Health and Safety
2. Glacial Valley
  1. Easy comparison to the BRADSHAW MODEL
3. Could get into the river along a 2km stretch
  1. Open Access
  2. not TOO deep
4. Noticeable changes in short distance
  1. Low Lying Land - Glacial Valley
5. Range of data within time constraints
6. 30 minute drive from Centre
7. 4 minute walk to river
