2. Energy

   • Using 4 AA batteries
     • Batteries need to be produced
       • More energy needed to produce more disposable batteries
         • Only use rechargable batteries

     • Find alternative solution (e.g. solar powered)

3. Buildability

   • Very compact
     • Makes it easy to hold/use
   • Difficult (or impossible) to replace parts and access components
     • Should be built of fewer/more accessible/interchangeable parts

4. Toxicity

   • Cadmium in NiCd batteries
     • Properly recycle NiCd batteries, so cadmium can't escpape
   • Non-biodegradable plastics
     • Use bioplastics, biodegradable plastics or recycled plastics instead
   • Compounds found in circuit board
     • Find non-toxic alternatives
     • Make circuit boards reparable
