7th Grade Math
  1. MCC7.G.1 Solve problems involving scale drawings of geometric figures, including computing actual lengths and areas from a scale drawing and reproducing a scale drawing at a different scale.
    1. Apply
      1. The student, given a scaled drawing of a rectangular building, will be able to compute the area of the actual building and reproduce a scaled drawing at a different scale with 95% accuracy.
    2. MCC7.G.2 Draw (freehand, with ruler and protractor, and with technology) geometric shapes with given conditions. Focus on constructing triangles from three measures of angles or sides, noticing when the conditions determine a unique triangle, more than one triangle, or no triangle.
      1. Apply
        1. The student, given three angle measurements, will be able to construct the angles and determine if they form a unique triangle, more than one triangle or no triangle with 90% accuracy
      2. MCC7.G.3 Describe the two‐dimensional figures that result from slicing three‐dimensional figures, as in plane sections of right rectangular prisms and right rectangular pyramids.
        1. Analyze
          1. The student, given a three dimensional figure, will be able to describe the two dimensional figure formed when the 3D figure is sliced with 100% accuracy.

          1. ELACC7W8: Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources, using search terms effectively; assess the credibility and accuracy of each source; and quote or paraphrase the data and conclusions of others while avoiding plagiarism and following a standard format for citation.
            1. Evaluate
              1. Objective: The student, given a website credibility survey, will be able to present knowledge gained from a credible site with 100% accuracy.
                1. Description: Students will create a 2-3 minute podcast, each presenting information gained from a credible source which they will be evaluating for credibility.
                  1. Assessment: The presentation is 2-3 minutes - 5 points; Source is evaluated for credibility - 5 points; Information presented is thoughtful and professional - 5 points; Podcast is well planned and easy to understand - 5 points; Podcast includes 1 sound effect and music at beginning and end - 5 points/ 25 points total
