2. Lots of detail
3. Need to be able to read
4. Need to understand the language
5. Can be confusing-level of language
6. Lots of text cannot be read quickly
Graphics
1. Multingual-do not need language to understand an image e.g. Male and Female
2. Can match what you see-physical shapes
3. Can be confusing If you do not know the symbols-road signs
4. Some symbols do not mean the same thing in different countries
Sound
1. No fixed position
2. No line of sight required
3. Good for visually impaired people
4. No good in large areas-distortion of sound
5. Usually language based
6. May not know the sound. E.g. Different alarms have different sounds
7. Need to be able to hear
Moving Pictures
1. Lots of information conveyed
2. Not language dependent
3. Can exemplify text
4. Linear-if you do not see the beginning, you may not understand
5. Problems if sound
LED
1. Can allow data to be kept secure
2. Can be used in noisy places
3. Similar to graphics
4. Need to able to see the lights
5. Combinations of lights may need to be know to be understood
