How to make an electromagnet:

You need a power source, a magnet, a long wire and a switch. Coil the wire around the magnet as many times as possible, but leave a small amount at either end. Connect one end to the power source and the other to the switch Connect another wire to the switch and the power source. Turn on the power source Test your electromagnet, and switch it off when you're done.
