(INcmplete note) GENETICS- 2 laws of mendelism (warning: crude humour)

Description

Mendelism. End of story. And yes, I do try to infuse some humour into my notes. I'm only human. This note is basically about the 2 laws that Mendel has formulated and laid down for all of humanity to behold: 1. Law of segregation and 2. The badass law of independent assortment

Genetics... It's in your genes.Oh and yes, one of my fav songs to listen to while I battle the demons of my procrastination!!!

So yes, here we say YO MENDEL!!! Or ya know, you can always pretend to be Jesse from Breaking Bad and say, " Genetics, bitch!"Mendel doesn't really know...but kinda knows-ish,about chromosomes:Anyway... so this dude, aka Mendel whatever, he studies peas to try to understand about genetics. keep in mind that he didn't know about chromosomes at this time (well duhhh, he kind of like-started it all. But i think even after his...PEA experiment - he still didn't really know about chromosomes,but HAS the general idea of it. He deduced that a distinct UNIT of inheritance that exists...Just didn't really what exactly IT is...Am i right? Ugh i don't even know

From his pea experiments, he deduced ( I love that word) 2 fundamental principles of heredity:1. Law of... SEGREGATION!!! kind of a funny word. Who still says segregate nowadays anyway? Oh, are my little rambles getting annoying? Well honestly, it annoys me too. But hey it's the best i can do right now to battle with that procrastination bitch ( Oops. What language. My note should be censored but hey I cannot make my notes private currently)2. LAW of independent assortment!!! (Have heard of this before, rightttt *waggles eyebrows, )

1.Law of segregationDuring gamete formation:A character/gene (eg height) has.... 2 alleles.   Short  + Tall             I         I        VSomatic cells say I wanna be a gamete!So these 2 alleles SEPARATE I                                   I I                                   IV                                  V Short                       Tall ( in egg/ovum)(in sperm)

 I IV

                               3 : 1 Law!!!* Warning. This only counts for 1 character eg pea colour...- Well not really, even when analysing 2 characters ( eg colour& texture and producing a 9:3:3:1... There's still a 3:1 pattern.....

~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~*
Derived from experiments following only ONE character (eg pea colour)
derived from following TWO characters at the same time ( eg pea colour & texture )
2. Law of independent assortmentDuring gamete formation:EACH PAIR of alleles....don't give a DAMN (doesn't care) what the other PAIR of alleles think...Yetah ia ckp mun kmu mau segregate, SEGREGATE TAH U FLIPPING !!!! I no depend on u , u OTHER pair of alleles!!When I....Moi~~~ Beta~~~ segregate...I SEGREGATE INDEPENDENTLY!!!AGATAH kmu lain ikut status quooooo tah sja U FREAKING *****
                --------->this helps contribute n xplain d law of indep assortment
        9:3:3:1
IIV
how you ask? well... example in a dihybrid, whwn it produces 9:3:3:1 ratio...try to draw a punnet square for EACH trait SEPARATELY...eg: colour... one punnet square-for texture?= draw another punnet squareeach will give a 3:1 ratio!!!it's a bit like some magic in your life
