Archimedes Principle
When body immersed in fluid, fluid exerts an upward force equal to weight of fluid displaced. (by the body)
Fbuoy = Weight of displaced fluid
= pfluid x Vdisp x g
p = density of fluid
=m/V

When body at rest in equilibrium, total weight of body = Fbuoyant
therefore mg = pfVg
Apparent Weight = Actual Weight - Buoyant Force
