​Tracy Mackey   A new NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commissioner will begin next year. Tracy Mackey will start her role in January 2022, for a 3-year appointment.  In this role as Commissioner, Ms Mackey will be responsible for safeguarding the rights of people with disability receiving support under the NDIS and promoting their health, safety and wellbeing.  The NDIS Commission can help - NDIS participants their families and their carers. To resolve matters or complaints about NDIS supports, products and services. The NDIS Commission is there to contact if you feel unsafe or unhappy with services, or if you do not know where to direct your concern. Ms Mackey was the CEO of the NSW EPA. She has previously had senior executive positions with the Department of Immigration and the NSW Department of Education Early Childhood Education. Prior to that Ms Mackey was an Executive Director with Life Without Barriers. Linda Reynolds, NDIS minister announced the appointment on Wednesday 24th November. “Ms Mackey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new position as Commissioner, following her previous senior role in the care and support sector and more recently as the primary environmental regulator in NSW,” Minister Linda Reynolds Ms Mackey replaces Samantha Taylor, who has been acting as the NDIS Commissioner since July 1. The was following on from Graeme Head, who led the commission through its establishment phase.
