To what extent can the arts be considered to be "lanugage" themselves, metaphorically speaking? To what extent do you think that some of the arts gain their communcative power by being free of language and its confines? To a large extent since language includes things such as bodylanguage and imagery. Different kinds of languages is used to express emotions etc in the arts. Depending on the art, such as dancing gain their communcative power to a large extent by being free of language since it is more universal and can be interpreted by people from different locations around the world without words, compared to the literary arts which is very language-dependent hence the target people needs to understand the language to interpret the art.Are there concepts, named in language, that you think are extremely important- perhaps even essential- in discussing and evaluating the arts? Are there terms that are essential in teaching and learning within the arts?
